# Companion-video guide — Prepare social posts and track enquiries

**Manuscript:** [Prepare social posts and track consultation enquiries](../appmint-social-media-automation.md). **Product:** Appmint Studio Manager. **Available:** real UI stills, a capture ledger and original consultation artwork. These are not recordings of provider publication or social conversations.

## Teaching result

Show two independently saved drafts and a listening rule that has been tested with meaningful examples. The reader should leave knowing where work is stored and how to check it. Do not turn this into a montage that implies Facebook or Instagram accepted a post.

Jordan runs Cedar & Form. A prospective client messages the company about a room consultation; Jordan confirms availability. Keep that business story through captions, graphics and the CRM handoff.

## Asset inventory

Use [assets/appmint-social](../assets/appmint-social). Every UI capture has route/time/text information in `evidence.json`. The original PNG and SVG are teaching artwork, explicitly labelled as a fictional offer.

| `01-social-dashboard.png` | Four main tabs and More selector |
| `02-linked-accounts.png` | Actual disconnected-provider states |
| `03-social-integrations.png` | Setup screen opened from Integrations |

| `12-two-social-drafts.png` | Final hero after waiting for the image to load |
| `13-instagram-reopened.png` | Persisted caption and actual loaded thumbnail |
| `14-stopped-schedule-form.png` | Schedule editor fields; a stopped rehearsal configuration, not a reliable pause claim |
| `15-schedule-save-result.png` | Actual create failure |
| `16-scheduled-list.png` | Empty list after the failed attempt |
| `17-activity.png` | Interaction/platform filters |
| `18-engagement.png` | Explicit pending sentiment enrichment |
| `19-listening.png` | Empty Listening before creating a topic |
| `20-conversations.png` | No provider conversations connected |
| `21-feed.png` | Feed includes sample Twitter cards; do not use as business evidence |
| `22-listening-positive-test.png` | Historical failed positive text test with scope selected; result is No match |
| `23-listening-exclusion-test.png` | Exclusion sample while scoped; use26 to isolate phrase behaviour |
| `24-listening-topic-saved.png` | Reloaded topic with two platforms and zero real activity |
| `25-listening-text-match.png` | Actual positive match with scope temporarily cleared |
| `26-listening-excluded-text.png` | Actual negative result caused by exclusion |
| `tutorial-consultation-card.png` | 1080×1080 original practice artwork |
| `tutorial-consultation-card.svg` | Editable source of that artwork |

The filenames22/23 describe the intended test case, not a successful outcome. Always read the result shown in the image. The manuscript uses25/26 for the positive/exclusion teaching pair.

## Recording plan

### 0:00–0:30 — Start with the result

Show12, then24. State that these are drafts and rules, not live social posts.

**Narration:** “We'll turn one consultation offer into two social drafts, attach the artwork and prepare a rule that spots the questions we want to answer. We'll reopen the records so we know the work actually saved.”

### 0:30–1:40 — Orient the viewer

Show01 and02. Move through Dashboard, Conversations, Posts, Feed and More. Do not read ten labels in a row without purpose: explain where to create content, connect accounts and find replies.

Show03 only long enough to identify Social media in the setup screen. Do not spend this lesson on the website wizard or billing section. Appmint and its apps are free; unrelated Upgrade controls are not a prerequisite.

### 1:40–4:00 — Write and save Facebook

Open Create Post. **Click Facebook explicitly.** The captured apparent default did not save a delivery type. Explain this next to the click, not in a long warning at the end.

**Narration:** “Choose the channel even if it already looks selected. The caption explains the offer and asks for one response. Jordan confirms the appointment later.”

Use04–07. Show Save draft, close, Posts and reopening. If a fresh build has corrected channel initialisation, record that changed behaviour and update the manuscript. Do not reproduce a bug by manipulating data behind the UI.

When explaining the original missing row, show the relevant Comm Center Channel column only if recording that recovery. Avoid unrelated system-email rows and login notices.

### 4:00–7:00 — Instagram and media

Create a separate Instagram post. Read the shorter opening, then show Media → Choose files → File Manager → Upload → Select files. Use08–10.

**Narration:** “Uploading adds a file to the library. Choosing the file attaches it to this message. We need both.”

Show the Public checkbox state clearly. Explain that the course card is intentionally public practice artwork. Do not expose private customer images or signed asset URLs in a zoomed address bar.

Film the card's checkmark selection and wait for the thumbnail. Use13 for readback. File upload progress reaching100% is not the final shot; the reopened draft with the image is.

Show12 with both rows and statuses. Keep caption text legible; an overview followed by one close view is better than rapid zooming over tiny text.

### 7:00–8:30 — Draft, schedule and publication are different

Use a simple three-box diagram: message content → timing record → provider result. Label it as an explanatory graphic, not an Appmint screen.

Show14,15 and16. State the actual Create schedule error. Do not animate a successful calendar entry after it. No schedule was created in the rehearsal.

**Narration:** “The message saved, but this scheduling path failed. We keep the draft and report the exact error. An empty Scheduled list is not a scheduled campaign.”

The inspected scheduler does not reliably gate execution on stop status. Do not say the stop option guaranteed safety or demonstrate it as a pause button. The rehearsal used a future date, had no connected account and failed before creating a schedule. A later cancellation scene needs an actual existing schedule and verified removal.

### 8:30–12:30 — Listening rule with a meaningful test

Use19 to introduce Listening, then the saved rule's editor.

Enter the name and description. Add `design consultation` as an include phrase, pressing Enter. Add `job application` as an exclusion. Show the resulting P pills.

Keep platform/activity pills empty for the text-only sample tests. Use25, then26.

**Narration:** “The first sentence matches our consultation phrase. The second also contains it, but the job-application exclusion removes the whole row. This makes the rule more focused, and it also means we need to check for useful enquiries we might accidentally exclude.”

Then select Facebook/Instagram and Comment/Message. Explain the tester limitation: its sample has only text, so selected platform/type filters can make a positive sentence fail. Restore scope before saving.

Show Create topic or Save changes, reload, and24. Zero mentions is expected without synced provider activity. Do not insert fictional inbound comments to make the analytics look busy.

### 12:30–14:00 — Explain the working day after connection

Use20,17 and18. Explain the actual separation: thread for responding, activity for filtering, listening topic for relevant phrases, CRM for the lead or reservation.

Feed21 contains sample Twitter cards. If shown, label them as sample content. Do not present their likes or poll votes as Cedar & Form results. Engagement sentiment is pending enrichment; a neutral-looking chart is not a measured customer attitude.

End on the two saved drafts and scoped listening topic. Link to the CRM lesson for the confirmed appointment.

## Scenes still required for a provider-connected edition

A future producer needs an authorised test account on each provider. Record the actual connection consent, resulting business identity in Accounts, selection in Post to account, reviewed caption/media, successful provider result and the actual live post. Do not borrow clips from an unrelated organisation or use a generic platform screenshot.

Schedule publication, recurring behaviour, cancellation, provider errors and inbound replies need separate live tests after the scheduling defect is resolved. Keep the same message and schedule IDs throughout. A completed timing record is not a substitute for the actual published post.

If adding an inbound reply, use a consenting test participant, show the real thread and record the matching CRM handoff. This course's sample matcher does not create a social conversation.

## Review checklist

Verify current controls before reshooting; the manuscript is dated. Keep the explicit channel-selection step or revise it based on observed behaviour. Use the final loaded-thumbnail images. Do not describe22 as a successful positive test. Keep stopping points clear without letting defects consume the entire story. Preserve the artwork's training label when using the supplied card.

No video was rendered for this manuscript. Record the actual actions above to produce the companion video; the stills support narration and close-up explanations.
