# Completed local browser execution — operations dashboard

**Required walkthrough completed on 19 September 2026.** All numbered practical steps, required checks and the supplied-file final exercise passed in the actual local browser. The chronology below preserves the encountered failures and their repairs; its earlier in-progress notes are historical. Optional extension guidance is outside the executable exercise, as explicitly retained in the course.

2026-09-19, Studio Manager 0.6.2 at localhost:3100, AppEngine localhost:3300. Separate browser context, owner-created local learner organization `ck-local-mu83iwh3`. No author account or historical storage used. External fetch/XHR/mutations blocked in the browser context; no sends/providers/deployments.

Own collection: `cf_dash_20260919`, display title `Tutorial Design Projects 20260919`.

## Completed browser actions so far

- Logged in through local Studio's email → Continue with Password → Sign In.
- Database → New Collection → Collection Info; supplied unique name/title and enabled versioning/workflow.
- An initially overlong separate-run identifier was rejected (`Name must be between 3 to 20 characters`); corrected to the above identifier.
- Pasted supplied schema using the actual clipboard and editor; inspected Form Preview, Schema Tree and Schema Builder. Native clipboard paste was needed; simulated character insertion did not reproduce paste reliably.
- Saved collection and found it by display title in Database → Data Explorer. Empty collection confirmed.
- Add Record with Budget 18000 and no Project rejected with `Missing required fields: title`.
- Entered all five course projects using the actual form, Owner lookup, Stage dropdown and calendar-date input. Customer left empty. Four owner assignments point to the own learner account; Ahmed is unassigned; Park has no budget.
- Collection/schema and first four records were rediscovered after development reloads. Five-record capture made after Okonkwo save. A subsequent full reload stalled with Studio localhost:3100 returning no response; final five-record readback/query execution resumes once available.

## Captures

Screenshots and matching body-text files are numbered in this directory. `06-valid-collection-info` uses the final identifier. `08-required-title-rejected` is the actual validation error. `09-first-project-values` shows the first form, `11-park-complete-empty-budget` the completed exclusion fixture, `12-five-projects` the saved table.

This is an in-progress execution ledger, not a completion claim. Pending report stays open until the remaining browser steps and persistence checks pass.

## Continued execution

- Studio3100 stalled; one attempted restart exited137 while compiling. A separate replacement process restored3100; browser resumed on the same local application. No record reset or fixture API seeding occurred.
- `13-five-projects-after-reload` confirms all five persisted; `14-bennet-readback` opens the actual saved form and date.
- Count query ran to two rows/count1 each; detail query returned Ahmed and Bennett with actual ISO date strings. Both queries saved.
- Dragged saved count query into a dashboard; completed both Save stages. Refreshed Home and reopened after reload. Table and rendered bar chart each show the same two groups.
- Created private Workspace with only own member, assigned actionable task to own account, then reloaded My Tasks. Task remained To do.
- Deleted only own disposable Okonkwo record; dedicated Trash showed source datatype `cf_dash_20260919`; Restore returned it to Data Explorer with the other four.
- Actual validation-only CSV initially reproduced historical defect:3read/0created/3skipped/0failed despite blank title. No batch rows written.
- Source repair removes legacy-only card-warning condition; actual browser capture32 and reload33 confirm table+chart remain and warning is absent.
- Validator repair has18 focused checks and full AppEngine type check passed. Actual browser dry-run recheck awaits the team's coordinated API rebuild/restart. No completion claimed for this last check yet.


## Completion evidence

- `33-dashboard-fixed-after-reload`: saved dashboard after a fresh page reload; two table rows, one rendered chart and zero configuration-warning elements.
- `34-validate-only-after-fix`: actual final import screen with Validate only enabled.
- `35-validation-report-fixed`: rebuilt backend rejects row 2; 3 read, 0 created, 2 skipped, 1 failed.
- `36-validation-report-fixed-wording`: actual report identifies validation failure, says nothing was written and directs correction before retry.
- `37-five-projects-after-validation`: Data Explorer has exactly five original project rows and no Tutorial Import sample A record.

The actual browser course outcome is complete. The [application repair report](../../../application-fixes/dashboard-validation.md) records the narrow source changes, 18 validator/import regressions, five report-component checks and passing full AppEngine type check. No external delivery, customer mutation, provider action or deployment was needed.
