Auto-sync
On by default. Capturing a lead saves it to the CRM immediately.
Turn it off and captures are held as pending leads in the browser until you sync them as a batch. Useful when working offline or reviewing before committing — but the leads are only in the extension until then.
People expect "capture" to mean "saved," not "queued somewhere I have to find later." Leave it on unless you have a specific reason.
Default pipeline and stage
Set which pipeline captured leads enter, and which stage they start in. Without these, leads land unassigned and someone has to route them by hand.
Pipelines are defined in the CRM — the extension picks from what already exists.
Lead source
Defaults to chrome_extension. This is what shows as the lead's origin in reporting, so it is how you measure whether the extension is actually producing pipeline.
Change it if you want finer attribution — per campaign or per person, for example.
AI provider
Controls which model does the extraction work on AI-driven captures.
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
appengine | Default. Uses the platform's AI, billed through your organization |
openai | Your own OpenAI key |
claude | Your own Anthropic key |
Choosing your own provider requires supplying that key in settings, and the provider bills you directly rather than the usage going through your Appmint balance. See how charging works.
Notifications
On by default. Shows a confirmation when a lead is captured or credentials sync. Turn off if you are capturing in volume and the toasts get in the way.
What is stored in the browser
| Stored | Contents |
|---|---|
| Auth | Organization, token or API key, base URL, the web app you signed in from, and when it last synced |
| Settings | Everything on this page |
| Pending leads | Captures waiting to sync, when auto-sync is off |
| Last sync | When leads were last pushed |
All of it is in extension storage, scoped to the extension.
Credentials persist until cleared. On a shared laptop, clear the extension's data when you are done — a synced session is a working credential for your organization.
