Event day

The checklist before you travel, what needs a connection, switching events, multiple tickets, guests and sharing a booking.

The night before

Do these while you have good signal and a charger.

1. Open your ticket. My Events → the event → My ticket. Opening it fetches a fresh QR and keeps it in the app.

2. Pin it. If you hold tickets to several events, pin today's so it sorts to the top of the wallet. The pin lives on this device only.

3. Fill in your profile. Name, photo, headline, company. Your card in People and your QR profile are only worth something if they say who you are.

4. Look at the schedule. The calendar opens on the first day with sessions. Bookmark sessions you care about from their detail page so they are one tap away in Bookmarks.

5. Follow the speakers you want to hear. Follow needs no acceptance and puts their posts in front of you.

What needs a connection, and what does not

The app talks to the server for almost everything. What survives a bad signal:

Works offlineNeeds a connection
Showing a ticket you already openedFetching a fresh QR, buying, transferring
Nothing else you should rely onFeed, People, chat, schedule, notifications

The ticket you opened last night will show. Everything else on the phone is a live request, so at the door the priority is the ticket, not the feed. The staff scanner also needs a connection to validate you — a slow door is the venue network.

At the door

The staff on the other side of the scanner are using Appmint Mobile; what their screen shows and why a scan is refused is in Event-day operations.

Brightness up, dimming filters off, open the ticket, tap the QR for full screen. If the scanner refuses it, the likely reasons in order: the code is stale (reopen the ticket), the ticket was already scanned (re-entry is off by default), or the ticket is for a different zone than that door.

Several events, several tickets

The wallet lists every ticket across every event; each card names its event. Inside an event, the drawer's Events list switches which event the Home, Explore, People and Schedule tabs show. Connections, meetings, bookmarks and messages do not change with the event.

If you bought several tickets in one booking, all of them are yours until you hand some on. Assign to someone on a ticket moves it to their email with a new QR; do it before the day, not in the queue.

Guests and the booking email

You can buy as a guest with any email. The tickets belong to that address. To see them in the app, sign up with the same email. A different email means an empty My Events, and no amount of refreshing fixes that — reassignment by the organizer does.

Keep the booking reference from the confirmation email. With it plus the email you can look the booking up without signing in, and it is what the organizer needs if a payment went through but no tickets were issued.

Sharing a booking

The booking summary right after purchase has Share Booking: it sends the reference and event details through the system share sheet. Useful for telling a group "we're in" without forwarding a QR — forwarded QR codes are the same ticket, and whoever scans second is refused.

Speed

Screens inside an event fetch on open and cache nothing, so a slow venue network makes every tab feel slow. Open the two or three screens you need while you still have signal, then stop tapping around. Pull to refresh only when you want fresh data.
