Appmint Marketing & Ads: Campaigns, Leads and Reservations

Written guide

What you will learn

Connect Appmint Marketing and Ads to a working lead or reservation destination. We will prepare the destination before the campaign, then trace a controlled response into CRM.

Before you begin

Choose one destination for the campaign: an enquiry form or a booking flow. An inline form answer is a form submission; it does not automatically become a CRM lead or a confirmed reservation. Configure and verify that additional mapping explicitly if your workflow requires it. Keep the campaign as a draft until an independent visitor can complete the chosen destination.

01. Create the form and its destination

Forms can store inline submissions or create records in an existing collection. Choose that destination before building fields, because it changes where the answer is saved.

Steps

Open Forms → Forms and create a form. In Setup enter Name and Title, set Status, optional Opens and Closes, and Message after submitting. In Fields choose Build the fields here or Use an existing collection. For the first demonstration choose inline fields.

Check the result

The saved form has Setup, Fields, Access, Messages, SEO and Submissions. A collection-bound form follows the collection’s schema and access; do not present it as identical to inline submission storage.

02. Configure identity and access

Who is filling this in? controls identity checks. Who may open it? controls reachability. Email only records an address without verifying it.

Steps

Open Access. Choose Nothing, Magic link, One-time code, Username & password or Email only as required. Choose Anyone who can reach it, One access code or Participants only. Configure the code or intended participants. Review public permissions and Save changes.

Check the result

The form link can be refused until Guest can read and create. A visible Copy link is not permission proof. Magic links/codes require working delivery; never narrate Email only as verified identity.

03. Share and submit from the customer view

The generated link uses the configured site base. The customer result must be tested outside the staff session.

Steps

In Setup copy the Link. If unavailable, read the reason and use Refresh form link after correcting the site setup. Open the link in an independent respondent session. Attempt one invalid submission, correct it and submit once. Inspect the Message after submitting. For participants, use the supported invitation or Send to all only for controlled recipients.

Check the result

Do not invent an embed button if only the generated link is exposed. Invitation delivery and one-time code behavior are separate tests.

04. Review the saved answer and workflow

Submissions is the persisted answer view. A configured workflow should create its own task, which needs to be matched to that exact submission.

Steps

Open the form’s Submissions tab or top-level Submissions and select the matching answer. Compare fields and file attachments. In Setup select Send submissions to a workflow and save. Submit a second controlled answer, open Workflows and inspect the corresponding task and source reference.

Check the result

A success message alone does not establish field mapping or task creation. Collection-bound output must also be inspected in its owning collection.

05. Build fields and validate the respondent experience

Inline fields belong to this form. A bound collection supplies its own schema and stores its own records. Field names identify the saved answers; titles are the readable labels the respondent sees. The preview helps inspect layout, but a real submission verifies storage and access.

Steps

In Fields choose Build the fields here. Use Schema Builder to drag the appropriate controls into the form, then select a field and open its Properties. Give each field a stable Name and a clear Title. For a contact email, select the email format; for a longer answer choose the textarea variant. Add a useful Description or Placeholder where the format would otherwise be unclear. Mark only necessary inputs Required. Set minimum/maximum length where a real requirement exists, and inspect any default value so it cannot silently become a respondent's answer.

For attachments use the file control's file types and maximum size options. Select the accepted categories, such as images or PDF Document, instead of allowing all files without a reason. For repeated items inspect minimum/maximum item settings when repeatable is enabled. Place fields in an existing layout group; the current selector uses actual layouts because a name that matches no layout can hide the field from the rendered form.

Switch to Form Preview. Inspect order, labels, required indicators and readability. Use Schema Tree to find an unexpectedly missing control. JSON Schema is the advanced alternative for inspecting the underlying schema; preserve field names already used by answers or templates. In the embedded form editor, Collection Info, Notifications and Live View are intentionally absent: save the enclosing CRM form, and use that form's Messages and Submissions instead.

Save changes, open the public link as the intended respondent, and attempt an empty required field and a malformed email. Correct the validation error, submit a valid answer and inspect Submissions. Open View for Submission Details and compare the saved answer labels and values. Use Notes for an internal observation. Change a submission status only through the offered selector, then reopen it to confirm the result. Delete opens a confirmation for that submission; do not use it as a substitute for correcting the original form.

For Use an existing collection, select the saved collection in the picker and inspect its fields before publishing the form. Submit a controlled answer, then verify the matching collection record as well as any form activity. Changing the storage source is a design change; check downstream templates and workflow references before switching an established form.

Check the result

Name validation permits identifiers starting with a letter, underscore or dollar sign, followed by those characters or digits; the field-name schema sets a 3–100 character length. A readable title can contain ordinary business wording without changing that identifier. Hidden and Disabled are separate field properties; do not rely on either as server-side access control. Browser validation, server validation, duplicate handling and close/expiry enforcement must be checked independently at the published link. To stop new responses, set the intended closed/expiry state in Setup, save, then reopen the link independently and verify the actual refusal.

06. Create a booking definition

A reservation definition supplies the service, duration, capacity and availability rules. The booking is a separate customer record created against those rules.

Steps

Open Reservations → Reservation Definitions → New Definition. Enter Name, Title, Type, Status and Timezone. Set working days and Start Time / End Time, then Spots. For a concrete service, add a nested service row with a clear title, Duration 30 and Break After 10; set Price to the intended amount. Save Inactive only while preparing. Reopen and inspect the persisted service and timezone, then finish the location/host/resource settings in the next chapter before making it Active.

Check the result

The current booking wizard source can treat a definition with no service rows as its own service; the older manuscript’s empty-services limitation should not override this newer behavior without a live check.

07. Configure hosts, locations and resources

A service point represents a room, chair or other physical resource. It is distinct from a service duration and from the staff host.

Steps

Open Service Points → Add service point. Set Name, Display Name, Kind, Capacity, Min Capacity and Max Capacity, and select the intended Business Location. Save. Return to the definition and select that saved Business Location and intended Hosts. Configure Blocked Time for actual unavailable intervals. Review Check-in by, Meeting Link, Venue and Meeting Info for the chosen in-person or online arrangement. Select a Form only when the booking needs one, and configure Emails, Phones and Notifications for the intended recipients; do not leave these empty merely because an old fixture did. Review any configured Workflow and Booking Type. Save, reopen, set Status Active and save again when ready to book. Confirm the definition appears in Active Only. The service point must be Bookable and Active where used; inspect that saved state rather than assuming its card alone connects it to the definition.

Check the result

Capacity and slot enforcement require a real booking/conflict test; a resource card alone cannot establish them.

08. Inspect available slots

Availability is where configuration meets a date and time. Check timezone, service duration, breaks and existing bookings before promising the slot.

Steps

Open Availability and choose the intended definition/service and date. Inspect the returned slots. Compare a free slot with an existing booking and a blocked interval. Correct the definition or resource configuration if the result is unexpected.

Check the result

No invented slot should be shown as an available result. Empty availability and a failed load must be distinguished.

09. Book and confirm

The booking wizard moves through service, slot, customer information and confirmation. Keep the same service and timezone visible through the final review.

Steps

Choose the booking action. Select the service, choose an available slot, select the existing customer or enter the controlled customer details, then review the confirmation. Complete the booking once. Open the saved reservation and compare service, customer, start/end and status; verify the controlled recipient’s confirmation separately.

Check the result

Booking persistence does not establish email delivery. Do not substitute a different existing reservation for the new booking.

10. Connect the ad identity

Marketing & Ads distinguishes campaign authoring from platform readiness. A linked social account does not necessarily provide a ready ad account.

Steps

Open CRM → Marketing & Ads and Campaigns. Inspect the intended campaign’s Ads readiness panel. Connect or correct the required platform identity and account, then refresh readiness. Inspect Social Feeds separately for the connected social content.

Check the result

Launch and Schedule remain unavailable until the required platforms are ready.

11. Set campaign identity

Historical Marketing campaign builder at Campaign Identity

The retained screen shows an unfinished campaign, its required identity fields and remaining stages. It is not an approved ad, paid spend or attributed booking. The provider service-agreement notice is a separate prerequisite.

Campaign Identity defines the objective, platforms, format and brand voice that later steps use. Recommendations in the editor are suggestions, not commitments or verified performance.

Steps

Create a campaign. Enter Campaign Name, select Campaign Objective, choose Target Platforms and Ad Format, then enter Campaign Description and Brand Voice. Review selected connected accounts and continue to Creative Selection.

Check the result

Changing the objective can change compatible choices. Recheck the selected platform and format rather than carrying forward an incompatible earlier selection.

12. Choose and create the creative

Creative Selection can use product context and AI-generated copy or assets. The result needs factual and visual review before it represents your business.

Steps

Open Select Products to Promote and choose the intended product by name or SKU. Review the product context. Generate or select the creative, inspect Headline, Description and CTA, and correct inaccurate copy. Use the available Creative Studio route for detailed design, then return to the selected creative.

Check the result

Generation is not publication. Exact Creative Studio round-trip and saved generated assets need rehearsal; do not substitute an unrelated existing image as the generated result.

13. Preview placements and destination

The same creative can appear differently by placement. Preview checks the content and destination before audience and budget decisions.

Steps

Open Preview. Inspect each selected platform’s supported placement and the intended creative. Open the destination URL independently and verify it is the actual landing page or product. Return and correct clipped text or unsuitable media before continuing.

Check the result

Do not claim every listed platform supports identical ad formats. Unsupported provider combinations should remain explicit gaps.

14. Set the audience

Audience Targeting controls who the campaign is intended to reach. Saved and generated audiences still require review of their actual criteria and provider support.

Steps

Open Audience Targeting, select or create the intended audience and inspect its available geography, demographic and interest criteria. Save the audience selection and review it in the campaign. For an AI-generated audience, read and correct each generated criterion before accepting it.

Check the result

Exact provider-specific audience fields and saved/generated audience operations require live verification. A reach estimate is not measured reach.

15. Configure budget, bidding and schedule

Campaign Setup separates Budget & Bidding, Schedule and Optimization. Daily and lifetime budgets have different meanings; schedule timezone belongs to the campaign.

Steps

In Budget & Bidding choose Daily Budget or Lifetime Budget and enter the intended amount and supported bidding settings. In Schedule choose Run Continuously or Set Start & End Date, set the dates and timezone, and review selected days. Set supported Optimization options. Save the draft and reopen Settings to read it back.

Check the result

This records configuration only. An authorized platform test or launch is required to prove budget enforcement and actual delivery.

16. Review and use lifecycle controls

Launch & Optimize supplies Campaign Review, Performance Predictions and Optimization Tips. Predictions should remain labelled as estimates. Lifecycle actions depend on the campaign’s current state.

Steps

Review every Campaign Review item and readiness result. Where authorized, use Test launch (paused, no spend) and inspect the platform’s paused object before any live launch. For an authorized live campaign, use Launch now or Schedule. Inspect Pause, Resume, End campaign, Cancel schedule or Retry launch only in the appropriate state.

Check the result

A paused test still creates external platform objects. No such action is authorized by this writing task. Explain the branch and retain it for later controlled production.

17. Inspect results and recover a failed launch

Campaign detail separates creative, audience and settings from its audit history. Recorded actuals and provider-refreshed metrics must not be confused with predictions.

Steps

Open Overview, Creatives, Audience, Settings and Audit Log. Use Refresh metrics where supported and compare the same platform/time scope. If Launch failed appears, read the platform-specific reason, Edit the campaign and Retry launch only after checking whether any platform object already exists. Use Duplicate for a separate draft and review all copied settings.

Check the result

Enter actuals is an explicit manual path. Label manual figures honestly. Actual launch, metrics, cancellation and cleanup are pending provider verification.

18. Build and select an audience

The audience builder stores a reusable targeting definition. A campaign then selects that definition. Its preview helps review the choices, but an on-screen estimated reach is not proof that a provider has accepted the audience or measured its size.

Steps

At Audience Targeting, use the audience manager to create an audience. Enter Audience Name and Description, then set Age Range. Work through Demographics, Interests & Lifestyle, Behavior and Geographic, selecting only criteria relevant to this campaign. Open Preview and compare Selected Criteria with the intended targeting. Save the audience and return to the list; search its saved name to confirm it exists.

Select that audience for the campaign and inspect the selected set before continuing. The campaign builder allows up to five selections. Selecting a sixth currently replaces the earliest selection; it does not create an unlimited audience list. Recheck the displayed set rather than assuming all six remain.

For the AI branch, open Generate Audience with AI, provide the business/product description and campaign objective, and generate. Wait for the generated audience to save and appear in the list. Open it and review its criteria before selecting it. If the save fails, the manager displays a generated-audience-not-saved error; an AI response alone is not a persisted audience.

Check the result

Custom Audiences currently displays Upload Customer List, Create Lookalike Audience and Website Retargeting buttons without click handlers in the inspected component. Show these as unavailable branches rather than demonstrating imaginary upload or pixel setup. The preview's Competition Level is fixed text, and the estimated figures must not be presented as provider-verified forecasts. Platform readiness and provider-side targeting validation are a separate launch check.

19. Creative Studio and existing asset alternatives

Creative Studio receives the campaign's selected platforms, products and copy, then returns finished designs to the campaign. The campaign must be saved first so the designs have a record to attach to. You can also use existing files instead of opening the design editor.

Steps

In Creative Selection, select the products being promoted and choose Design in Creative Studio. For an unsaved campaign, use Save & Open Studio. Inspect the resulting frames: the integration creates platform-sized frames and passes available product images, descriptions and existing ad copy as starting material. Review each frame's actual content and layout in Creative Studio. When ready, choose Use These Designs.

Return to the campaign and inspect Campaign Creatives. Confirm each returned frame's thumbnail and intended platform. Reopen the saved campaign to verify the designs were attached. If reusing the same design after editing, inspect the replacement frames; the handler replaces earlier frames from that design rather than stacking duplicates. Preview the campaign before launch.

For existing artwork, use the file-picker action beside Design in Creative Studio, select the intended assets and inspect the Campaign Creatives list. Remove an incorrect item using that creative's Remove control, then regenerate the preview. Edit Creatives returns from preview to the editable creative selection.

Check the result

A design open in another context may be closed and saved when the campaign opens Creative Studio. Keep the campaign identity visible at the handoff and verify the returned creative belongs to it. A thumbnail is not evidence that an ad has been uploaded or accepted by the advertising provider. External acceptance remains a launch/result checkpoint.

20. Trace the campaign response into CRM

First open the exact destination URL entered in the campaign preview. Submit one controlled form or complete one booking, retaining its saved identity. For forms, reopen Forms → Submissions and compare the entered fields. For bookings, open CRM → Reservations → Reservations and match customer, service and time. A preview page, selected time or thank-you message alone is insufficient.

If the campaign is meant to create a lead, identify the configured mapping or workflow and inspect its output under CRM → Leads. A form record and a lead are different records; retain their explicit relationship. If no mapping exists, report that missing step instead of crediting the campaign with a lead. Provider conversion attribution requires its own configured tracking and provider-side evidence; matching timestamps alone is not attribution proof.

The connected result must be checked at both sides of this handoff. Keep the original record reference visible while moving to the destination.

Steps

Open the campaign destination in an independent visitor session and complete the intended form or booking. Confirm the saved CRM submission/reservation and compare its source information with the actual campaign link. Keep the landing-page URL and selected organization consistent. Inspect campaign actuals against the provider result and the saved response; predictions and manual actuals must be labelled accordingly.

Check the result

A successful internal form test does not prove the provider attributed the conversion. A campaign preview is not a launched ad. Use the paused/no-spend test only where the selected provider supports it.

Limitations and checks

No ad spend, publication or provider attribution executed. Unsupported custom audience buttons and fixed/estimated preview figures are explicitly covered in the Marketing chapters.

Your next check

Return to the saved records and check the handoff that matters for your use of the platform. A visible result at each end makes the workflow explainable and gives you a precise place to investigate when it fails.

Reader/source reconciliation: 5 October 2026. No fresh visitor sends, broadcasting, social publication, ad spend or bookings were performed. Retained captures have only the narrow evidence stated in their captions.

Appmint Marketing & Ads — supporting guide

What you will learn

This course covers Appmint CRM Marketing and Ads, from campaign identity and creative through audience, budget, launch controls and performance. The campaign builder keeps those decisions together. We will prepare a campaign before discussing any operation that publishes an advertisement or spends its budget.

02. Set campaign identity

Campaign Identity defines the objective, platforms, format and brand voice that later steps use. Recommendations in the editor are suggestions, not commitments or verified performance.

Steps

  1. From CRM → Marketing & Ads, choose New Campaign. The builder starts at Campaign Identity.
  2. Enter Campaign Name first. Use a name you can recognize in the campaign list; the draft cannot save without it.
  3. Select the Campaign Objective that matches the action this campaign should encourage. The descriptions help distinguish Traffic, Lead Generation and Sales; the suggested budgets are not a provider quote or a result forecast.
  4. Enter Campaign Description, select Target Platforms and the supported Ad Format, and supply Brand Voice. Review which connected accounts the campaign will use. Scroll to inspect all fields before continuing.
  5. Choose Save Draft. Wait for success; if the save error remains, resolve it before navigating away. The first save creates the campaign, and later saves update that same draft.
  6. Continue to Creative Selection. After saving your changes, return to the campaign list and reopen the named draft to inspect its identity. This readback is still awaiting a recorded walkthrough.

This historical capture shows the unsaved builder, not a saved or launched campaign. Its top banner says the Google service agreement has not been accepted. Account readiness must be resolved for the intended platform; the presence of an objective card does not mean that platform is connected.

Check the result

Changing the objective can change compatible choices. Recheck the selected platform and format rather than carrying forward an incompatible earlier selection.

Use it only when you intend to create those objects in the selected advertising account. Inspect their paused state at the provider before proceeding; this reader has no recorded provider-side result.

Your next check

Return to the chapter for the action you need. When you change the configuration, check the matching record, customer view or destination again. A saved setting and a successful external outcome are different observations.

Verification notes
